What stood out for me, as with my first visit 12 years ago, was the exceptional service and kindness by all the staff. Each person takes the time to speak with you and inquires about your stay to see if there is anything which they may be able to help with. In addition, Laxman is amazing chef who truly enjoys creating his daily specials which are enjoyed by all the guests. Great vibes, great comfort, and a wealth of local knowledge at the Shangri-La Boutique Hotel!

I had an absolute great stay at Shangrila-la. The stuff is super friendly and will always help you with anything. The manager of the hotel can help you with plans or trips around Nepal so you will get amazing expierences. Sometimes it can get a little bit noisy in the night, but the Hotel is placed in a quiet street just next to Thamel. So it could be worse. Overall I had a great time and will gladly come back :)

I and my friend loved the morning breakfasts on the rooftop. We loved the room with comfy beds, and especially all the assistance we got from the front desk. No matter what questions we asked, we got good advice and help. We went on a short trip to Pokhara, and we could store some luggage until we came back. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely roof top area to relax and enjoy full breakfast including juice, fruits with different menu everyday served with a smile. Comfortable bed, shared bathroom with hot shower, free drinking water refill is a bonus. Hotel room is being under renovation work so would be a bit paint smell and dusty. Dorm room side along in an alley with motorbike parking would be noisy at night when engine starts.

Location is perfect in the middle of Thamel and close to some attractions to do even by foot. Room is spacious. Bed was comfy and lockers were wide. Staff were so nice and helpful. Free Breakfast was the best part of the stay (nice variety of a menu à la carte). I also liked the tour guide services they offer for extra fees.

We enjoyed our stay here, the room was clean however it was a bit loud at night from others guests sitting right outside the windows. The breakfast was incredible- so delicious!! The staff were very helpful and willing to organise any tour we needed.

Rooms were comfortable, food was delicious, and staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Conveniently, they also helped us to organise a trek at a very reasonable price and were very flexible with our itinerary and start date. Could not recommend highly enough, thanks to KK and the team!

My favourite stay in Thamel. Very clean and comfortable rooms. This place gave me some space to breath in the busy city :) the breakfast is extraordinary, so all in all very good value for little money. I stayed during low season with discounts and with few people in the rooms so it was very chill. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Totally recommend

I had a very pleasant stay! It was very affordable so great value. Good location in Thamel. I received a drink when I arrived and the breakfast in the morning was great. It was very clean and staff were very friendly. I booked a 4 person dorm room and had it all to myself which was a great bonus.

The host is very accommodating and makes customer service his top priority. He provided shuttle service, concierge for tourism booking, and anything one could ask for. The rooftop restaurant and community space was perfect. Amazing food and a great place to socialize.
